Fashion Tips For Tall Women

Here at Fashion.ie, we are going to show you practical styling tips for tall women. If you have a tall frame, we are so envious of you.

Almost everything seems to suit your figure and there is no style that you cannot wear. While supermodels make dressing a tall frame seem easy, without their stylists and crew, it is hard to know how to flatter your tall stature.

While we would love to be tall, we can see that it can come with its own set of challenges. Seriously, why are all the standard legs on jeans so short?

If you are struggling to know what to wear for your tall figure, we’ve got you covered. As mentioned, one of the advantages of being tall is that a lot of clothes are flattering on you.

If you want to know the best practical style tips for tall women, keep on reading.

Embrace Your Maxi And Midi Skirts

Maxi skirts as well as midi designs seem to be everywhere are the moment. And they are perfect for tall people as they allow your legs to be the star of your look without you feeling exposed.

You can go for a looser fit or a bodycon style. Either one is perfect for your tall frame. And don’t be afraid of styles that are too dressy for casualwear.

If it is good enough for an off-duty model, it’s good enough for you. If you have the legs to pull off a maxi skirt, go for it.

Find The Right Waistline For Your Figure

When choosing the right pair of jeans for you (more on this later), high-waisted styles are a go-to for a lot of people. However, it is always a good thing to get

Whether you dress modestly for cultural reasons or you’re just not comfortable with lots of skin showing, there are tons of ways to stay cool in the hot sun while looking and feeling your best. We spoke with Sahara Yar and Luley Jeylani, two of our favorite modest fashion girlies, and they shared some great advice with us.

When it comes to modest fashion, it’s all about being confident and sophisticated, and Jeylani perfectly explains how it has allowed her to embrace her uniqueness, “I plan to continue empowering young girls and women to embrace modest fashion and beauty while celebrating their individuality and self-confidence, because true beauty is found within each of you.” Yar goes on to add, “Just because I choose modesty, it doesn’t mean I do not also choose fashion. The two marry beautifully and I love exploring new styles and sharing them with my followers.”

I Can’t Stop Thinking About This Fashion Moment in ‘The Idol’

In The Idol, superstardom is not all it’s cracked up to be. The Max series—from creators Reza Fahim, Sam Levinson, and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye—centers around the troubled pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), who is gearing up for a major comeback after a very public breakdown following the death of her mother. Her manager, Chaim (Hank Azaria), and pushy label executive Jane (Nikki Katz) are pressuring the star to release a mainstream single, music video, and ensuing tour—but Jocelyn feels creatively stuck, as though her music doesn’t properly reflect who she is as an artist. Enter Tedros (Tesfaye), a mysterious club owner who meets Jocelyn on a fateful night out and wants to help her unleash her real voice. Cue the drama.

In episode two, which premiered last night, Jocelyn’s career revival is off to a rocky start. After the singer and Tedros remix her single to make it feel more “her,” Jocelyn floats the song to her team, who quickly shuts it down. The new sexy sound, heavy on the moaning, just isn’t commercial enough, apparently. Following a number of grueling dance rehearsals, Jocelyn is ushered to film her music video for the proposed bubblegum hit. It’s one of those cold Hollywood soundstages that has been fashioned into a strip-club set, with a giant neon “Jocelyn” sign hanging over it. “It’s not really what I imagined,” Jocelyn says apprehensively to her creative director, Xander (Troye Sivan). The message is clear: Jocelyn is stuck. The constricting fashions she wears in the episode only heighten the mood.

Seven times Alex Scott and Maya Jama swapped fashion tips after Soccer Aid host steals the show with ‘brave’ dress

ALEX Scott and Maya Jama are two rising stars of British television and it seems the celeb pals are exchanging fashion tips too.

Over the weekend, football pundit Alex, 38, stunned with a red PVC outfit at Soccer Aid, with fans branding it “perfection” and joking she was “brave” in the midst of a heatwave.

But eagle-eyed fans noted that the PVC number was similar to a vinyl midi dress Maya, 28, recently modelled for PrettyLittleThing.

The Love Island host and former Arsenal Women legend have been pals for years and presented the charity celeb football match together before.

Asked about potentially playing in a game herself this time around, Alex said: “Maya Jama threw it out there last year, and I said to her straight away: ‘If you’re going to step on the pitch, I will step on the pitch’, and we had a bit of a bet about it.”

Until we see them in matching footie kits, it appears they are taking inspiration from each others’ dazzling array of outfits too.

The duo starred at Soccer Aid in 2021 and Maya was particularly praised for her stylish flared peach suit.

One year later, Alex sported a similar orange number while commentating for the BBC at the World Cup.

The outfit caused a stir after she shared a photo of herself in the studio on Instagram and tagged the designer Reiss.

Alex received a dressing down from the Beeb because it was seen as promoting the company while she was working as a brand ambassador for the fashion label.

Be in vogue at the Isle of Wight Festival with our top fashion tips

With the Isle of Wight Festival happening this month, it’s time to start thinking about your festival wardrobe.

Here’s my top tips, if you’re at a loss and want a few pointers about this year’s trends.

Gods and Goddesses

I have to start off with the Isle of Wight Festival theme for 2023, which is Gods and Goddesses.

This will hopefully be influencing fashion choices! I’m thinking tiaras, jewels, long floaty dresses, leather belts, sashes.

Although I’m thinking Roman and Greek, of course you could always choose to emulate your favourite celebrity Gods or Goddesses!

Crochet and mesh

One of the biggest trends I’ve noticed throughout spring is lightweight crochet and mesh, which will definitely carry on this summer.

Woven clothes can be super cute in lots of unique patterns and can be styled in many ways.

Effortless crochet bucket hats have hit the fashion world and floaty cover-ups over a simple tank top are practical in the warmer months.

Crochet is stylish in neutrals for the boho aesthetic or in brighter festival colours.

Denim

Of course denim has to be mentioned with any look at fashion trends – it’s completely timeless and can be styled with anything.

Catwalks recently have started to see double denim make its comeback. Is this something you’ll be styling in your outfits?

Fringing

Fringing has always proven a hit at the festivals, for men or women, so I’m sure this year will be no different.
