Nandi Madida Bags a Major Award Hosting Gig. One thing about award ceremonies, they always come with massive opportunities. Our personalities get to host on the main stage, some do the red carpet, other creatives get more work in terms of doing wardrobe, makeup, sound, performances and so forth.
We are all looking forward to the next biggest award ceremonies, the South African Music Awards. The SAMAs as they are popularly known have just announced one of their hosts on the main stage. It is none other than Nandi Madida, who bagged herself a SAMA back in 2020. She and rapper K.O. bagged the Best Collaboration award for their hit song Say U Will.
Two years later Nandi gets to host the SAMAs. How cool is it that her husband Zakes Bantwini leads the pack with a whooping seven nominations. The award winning musician, actress and media personality was unveiled as one of the main stage hosts on Tuesday in style. The announcement was made when the country celebrated National Women’s Day. RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi, stated that they were working hard to put together a world-class celebration of musical excellence during Women’s Month.
This year the SAMAs will take place on the 28 August 2022 at Sun City and will be broadcast live on SABC1.
