A French-Australian fashion trend predictor has revealed three things that can make you look cheap.
Eloise Dalais said loose threads on clothing can be a dead giveaway the garment was purchased from a ‘low quality’ fast fashion retailer in an online video.
The young TikToker’s video is the third instalment in a series where she advises her thousands of followers what clothing and accessories they should never wear to avoid looking ‘cheap’ including satin and tarnished jewellery.

The fashion forecaster said loose threads on clothing can be a dead giveaway the garment was purchased from a ‘low quality’ fast fashion retailer in an online video
Eloise said to look out for loose threads on pant hems and seams and suggested cutting them off to look more high-end.
‘It usually does happen to fast fashion brands which are deemed as cheaper in comparison to luxury brands,’ she explained.
‘They don’t have the time to cut off loose threads due to the lower quality and the lower manufacturing standards.’
She suggested snipping any stray threads as well as pulls in cheap fabrics.
