Seven times Alex Scott and Maya Jama swapped fashion tips after Soccer Aid host steals the show with ‘brave’ dress

ALEX Scott and Maya Jama are two rising stars of British television and it seems the celeb pals are exchanging fashion tips too.

Over the weekend, football pundit Alex, 38, stunned with a red PVC outfit at Soccer Aid, with fans branding it “perfection” and joking she was “brave” in the midst of a heatwave.

But eagle-eyed fans noted that the PVC number was similar to a vinyl midi dress Maya, 28, recently modelled for PrettyLittleThing.

The Love Island host and former Arsenal Women legend have been pals for years and presented the charity celeb football match together before.

Asked about potentially playing in a game herself this time around, Alex said: “Maya Jama threw it out there last year, and I said to her straight away: ‘If you’re going to step on the pitch, I will step on the pitch’, and we had a bit of a bet about it.”

Until we see them in matching footie kits, it appears they are taking inspiration from each others’ dazzling array of outfits too.

The duo starred at Soccer Aid in 2021 and Maya was particularly praised for her stylish flared peach suit.

One year later, Alex sported a similar orange number while commentating for the BBC at the World Cup.

The outfit caused a stir after she shared a photo of herself in the studio on Instagram and tagged the designer Reiss.

Alex received a dressing down from the Beeb because it was seen as promoting the company while she was working as a brand ambassador for the fashion label.

Jennifer Lopez Says Ben Affleck Gives Her Fashion Advice

Ben Affleck, king of award show memes and number one Dunkin’ Donuts fan, has secretly played a role in styling some of our favorite red-carpet fashion moments. Speaking with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos during her May 5 appearance on “Live With Kelly and Mark,” Jennifer Lopez revealed that Affleck has been moonlighting as her personal stylist behind the scenes.

“He’ll joke with me sometimes, though, and he’ll say things like, ‘Where’s the rest of the shirt?'”

“Yes, he absolutely does,” Lopez confirmed, laughing, when Consuelos asked if Affleck gives her fashion advice. In the same way that Affleck is brutally honest about his past roommates, he doesn’t hold back when it comes to critiquing Lopez’s style.

“He doesn’t come to the fittings or anything like that, but I feel like if I’m getting dressed and we’re going to a red carpet or some big event — like he had his [“Air”] premiere — I’m like, ‘Do you like this one or this one?’ And he’s like, ‘I like that,’ or ‘Oh! That’s so much better on you than the other one.’ Sometimes it’s not what I think, too, which is funny.” For the record, Lopez looked incredible at the “Air” premiere in a neon green Antonio Grimaldi dress covered in crystal beading.

When Ripa asked if Affleck has any specific judging criteria — namely, whether he prefers sexier outfits — Lopez clarified that her husband lives in the moment when it comes to fashion. “I don’t think he prefers either or,” Lopez said. “It’s just whatever looks the nicest or what he thinks looks the nicest in that moment. He’ll joke with me sometimes, though, and he’ll say things like, ‘Where’s the rest of the shirt?’ or things like that. And I’m like, ‘This one doesn‘t

Zendaya just resurrected this controversial makeup trend on the SAG Awards red carpet

Zendaya may not have snagged Best Female Actor in a Drama Series at this year’s SAG Awards but she did take home the trophy for 2023’s best beauty look. Think: Cosmo’s unofficial official crowning… and IMO, rightfully so, too!

At the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards that took place overnight [26 February] at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California, stars walked the walk (read: red carpet) in head-to-toe glam. Zendaya, however, stole the spotlight with her newly cut bob that had been styled in the most effortless curls and voluminous side part. See! She’s proving that short hair can be versatile!

The actor’s hairstylist for the night, Tai Simon opted for a 1950s Old Hollywood feel and mastered the vintage look with the use of OGX Beauty products. Shop the entirety of all Tai used below.

Oh, and just in case you missed the details, Zendaya took to her Instagram to share an up-close look at her equally stunning makeup, created by artist, Raoúl Alejandre. The soft blush eye, matching flushed cheek and glossy pink lip are all one to note, however, the stand-out has to be her lower lash falsies.

The individual clusters very much resemble long spider legs (in the best way possible, ofc) but are also a marmite makeup trend that has caused debate since the dawn of time… and by dawn of time, I mean the early 2010s. The look involves smothering on layers of mascara until your lashes gather into little clumps – and as expected, some aren’t huge fans of the effect but for others, it’s a go-to for helping to draw attention to the eyes.

To layer mascara or to not layer mascara, there’s no denying that Zendaya turned up and

‘Don’t even know where to start’

Fashion expert Melissa Rivers is sharing her do’s and don’ts of red carpet fashion ahead of the CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas.

“A red carpet do would be take a page from the award shows we’ve already seen this year. One of the best years for fashion on the red carpet that we’ve seen in a long time,” Rivers said in an interview with Fox News Digital.

The biggest don’t in the podcast host’s book is jeans. “Don’t wear jeans,” she said. “Treat the event with the respect it deserves.”

Rivers, who previously co-hosted “Fashion Police” with her mother, the late Joan Rivers, and currently hosts the “Group Text” podcast, said she puts the country music award shows “somewhere between the Golden Globes and the Grammys.”

When asked what advice she would give stars deciding on their looks for the big day, Rivers said, “I give them the same advice that I give female comedians. Just because you’re funny, you don’t have to dress funny,” she noted. “You don’t have to dress for your genre of performance or genre of entertainment.”

Addressing some of the looks celebrities have worn over the years, Rivers gushed over Shania Twain’s 2002 Country Music Association Award’s show look.

Getting Ready With ‘The White Lotus’ Star Will Sharpe for the SAG Awards

Will Sharpe is numerous things: a writer, a director, one of the many stars in the hit second season of The White Lotus. But he is not, by his own admission, a member of the world of fashion. In fact, he’s far from it. “This is such a new world for me,” he tells W over Zoom. “I don’t know how you’re supposed to talk about it. I don’t know the phraseology.” Despite that, it was Sharpe who was called upon to bring Maximilian Davis’s sophomore collection for Ferragamo to the red carpet, just days after it debuted in Milan. It may have seemed like an odd choice—why not tap Uma Thurman, Hunter Schafer, or any of the other bona fide fashionphiles who sat front row at the presentation? But there’s something about Sharpe that allows him to fit squarely into the vision that Davis has created for Ferragamo over the last two seasons.

“There’s something that feels minimal and not overstated about what [Davis] does,” Sharpe says of the designer’s aesthetic presence at the Italian house. “There is a sort of quiet boldness to it, which is cool.” As it turns out, there’s some crossover with Sharpe in that sense. The actor may not be as outwardly raucous as others in The White Lotus cast, but there’s no denying his presence, something he further proved when he stepped onto the SAG red carpet this past weekend in a custom look from Davis. The actor wore black pants and a collarless jacket with a tapered-in waist. Underneath, a collarless shirt (a “go-to” for Sharpe, according to his stylist Rose Ford) in Davis’s newly signature red hue brought an unexpected element to the chic design. While not directly seen on the runway days before, the suit fit perfectly into the world
